"Another new name to me and another female singer that fits into the very modern definition of country music but this time around there are jangly guitars and more obvious country connections in titles like You're Still The One, Take Me With You When You Go and Winding Road – but all 12 tracks are originals either written or co-written by Kate. With a background that's owes more to a harder edge than traditional country, Kate still manages to plant her songs firmly in today's harder country soil and there are often quite insightful moments that make you want to hear more. Kate has done very well in US competitions – Isabelle, a track off this album, won first place in the Songwriters Association of Washington Best International Artist category - and this may serve her well here and with the current leanings of Australian country to a rockier style she will fit in well."
